Register today and join us from October 10th through October 12th in Anchorage, Alaska for the year's foremost architectural industry networking and continuing education event.
Make plans now to come together this October with colleagues and design professionals from all over the state at The Egan Center in downtown Anchorage. Take advantage of two entire days of curious learning, professional enhancement, vendor engagement, and local immersion while networking and enjoying great food and refreshments.
This year, we seek to delve into the theme of Responsible Design through conversations that will encourage everyone to consider what design responsibility means through a kaleidoscope of unique contexts. Programs and scheduling will include topics of environmental stewardship, cultural awareness, social influence, educational advocacy, and so much more.
AIA Alaska would like to acknowledge and give reverence to the Dena'ina people, whose unceded homelands we reside on. By practicing and upholding an adherence to responsible and ethical design, we call attention to the history and impacts of settler colonialism that Alaska Native peoples are still affected by. Through our work, we seek to continually dismantle the destructive colonial legacy that settlement has left in its wake.

This conference invites designers, planners, builders, and researchers alike to explore Alaska's unique historical, geographical, architectural, and social diversity through the context of past and future adaptations. Bringing together professionals from across the state, and beyond, we seek to cultivate a hub of ideas that fosters collaboration and discussion among a community of leaders dedicated to responsible design in Alaska.
Food Drive
This year, with the theme of Responsible Design, AIA Alaska will be hosting a food drive for the Food Bank of Alaska. For every two items of non-perishable food donated, you will receive an additional entry into the drawing for door prizes. Donations will be accepted throughout the entirety of the conference. Please see the Food Bank of Alaska's "Healthy Donations List" to better prepare donations of high priority items.
